MY FATHER BUILT THIS IN 1964. WE WERE RIDING IT IN '65, AND IN '66 DAD BOUGHT A '67 SNOW CRUISER. I HAVE RIDDEN EVERY YEAR SINCE. MY THREE YOUNGER BROTHERS HAVE THE SAME DEVOTION THAT I DO. HOPEFULLY OUR KIDS WILL PASS IT ON. THANKS TO MOM,FOR LETTING US GO FOR WEEKS ON END. OUR WIVES FOR PUTTING UP WITH THE OBSESSION, AND OUR DAD FOR SHARING HIS LOVE OF SLEDS. GROWING UP, WE HAD 3 1971 SNO-JETS. A SUPER JET, SS AND A STAR DELUXE. LATER DAD PURCHASED ANOTHER SNO-CRUISER, THIS TIME IT WAS A 70. WE HAD SKI-DOO'S, POLARIS'S, LOTS I FORGOT ABOUT, EVEN AN AUTO-SKI. DAD STILL HAS A 74 TNT 440, SITTING IN HIS SHED, COMPLETELY RESTORED. MY YOUNGER BROTHER GOT INTO DRAG RACING ABOUT 98' AND GOT ME INTO IT. I'M NOT RACING YET, BUT I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. THATS WHEN I DECIDED TO START REBELSLED. IT STARTED AS A PAGE DEVOTED TO THE THUNDERJET, BUT IT SEEMS THERE ARE LOTS OUT THERE. SO IN NOVEMBER'04, I CHANGED THE FORMAT TO SNOWMOBILE DRAG RACING AND WITH THE HELP OF BRAD WHITE AND WARREN WILDE, I STARTED TAPING THE RACES. WE JUST SAY THAT ITS A HOBBY GONE WILD!! I STILL RIDE A '79 BLIZZARD 5500. IT'S A HARD RIDE, HOWEVER IT STILL PULLS MY FAT BUTT AROUND FAIRLY DECENTLY. WE HAVE RUN THOUSANDS OF GALLONS OF FUEL THROUGH THESE MACHINES AND HUNDREDS OF GALLONS OF OIL. WE HAVE ALSO DONE OUR FAIR SHARE OF MECHANICAL WORK AND TROUBLESHOOTING.
