THE 05 HOLCO 500 GRASS DRAGS (From Terry) You put on a class act right from the start. The escort on to the race track by that very proud RCMP was very patriotic, it gave a celebrity status to all the racers that attended and from the reaction of the crowd and the comments made after from the people, the attention made all of the racers feel very important, we thank you for that. It was very good to see all the racers coming back into the sport, and especially for me it was good to see Dale Rogers and his son Tyler back in the grass. These two are a force in the grass and I am looking forward to seeing them in Regina for the THUNDER CITY GRASS DRAGS on September 24th. The S.S.R.A. is very proud to say that we have a large group of racers attending the world championship of grass drags in Minnesota this year. Of course, the one that comes to my attention first is DW racing from Humboldt…Wes and Dave has a rocket attending this year. That 700 ski doo is a world class attraction and I can’t wait for the world class results. Good luck boys. Mr. Heckles, my friend Jim Duncan and his silent son Cory will also be attending HAYDAYS this year. This year Jim, instead of winning the Show and Shine, win some of those open mod and pro stock classes. Either way, Jim and Cory you both represent very well. We thank you for that. It was going to be a completive day when I seen Rob O. out there piloting the “Kilback Racing “sled. Rob you are a class act in the racing series and you always will be. I will race against, with, along side, back you up any day, we will go head to head at the THUNDER CITY drags in Regina. Then there is my friend Jamie Hogg, don’t take no shit Jamie…give it to those competitors. Bring home that world championship. Matt Bradley from MAJIC 92… what an awesome job! I hope to see you in Regina this September. Call me or e-mail me when you read this. We need more people like you at our events. And lastly to our THUNDER CITY pit crew , thanks to Pete , Dan , Derek and Kim for bringing home a multitude of victories. Terry Denomie Promotional
(From
Rick) There was a couple glitches on the board early on, but thats just paperwork. A couple of Big wheelies and a broken spindle, kept the fans on toes. Maybe we should get a couple of show stopper sleds for every race. The fans really enjoy watching racers on the brink of Destroying themselves! Some New Racers made The Trail Stock
Class a success! Its really good to see the new chaps come out and
give it a try. These guys are the future of racing and we should
all get behind them and give them the support they need. It was good to see Jamie Hogg back for this race, but Cory Duncan kept him on the short. The racing between these guys was very close all day! Its just good to see that kind of speed and be so close. Not sure of the placings at the end of the day. The DW boys from Fulda have got one "SMOKIN 700" in that new prostock Iantomasi sled. I really hope Dave and Wes decide to show this machine out east this fall. It should be in there. After a BAD weekend in Melville, Terry Denomie got back in the saddle again with a multitude of wins. Lots of work and good reaction times put Terry in the Zone, all day. Terry and the crew from Thundercity should be proud of their weekend. One Guy that knows his SRX is Dale Roger. It was so good to see this stocker out and running. I believe he got a plaque and some envelopes, so he was in there. Congrats Dale! A Huge thank you to Collin and Holly for the use of the land and the show that they put on. I hear the after party was quite a spectacle. Good to see some of you cut loose! Hey, lets not forget about Matt Bradley!
He caught on very quick, for a Rookie Drag Sled announcer! Motorsports
Freaks have a tendenancy to that! Rick Wilde |
